Why Can’t My Alcohol Server Access Their ABC Alcohol Certification Exam?

Navigating the RBS training and certification process can sometimes present challenges. One common issue that alcohol servers can face is difficulty accessing the ABC Alcohol Server Certification Exam. If your alcohol server is encountering problems, here’s what you and your employee can do to resolve the issue efficiently.

Common Issues with Exam Access

If your employee is unable to access the exam, the issue is often related to the confirmation of their training. 

1. Confirmation Delay: The authorized training provider has up to 24 hours to confirm the completion of the training course. This confirmation is what unlocks access to the certification exam in the RBS Portal.
2. Email Notification: Once the training provider confirms the training, the server will receive an email from ABC notifying them that they have a message in their message center in the RBS Portal.
3. Accessing the Exam: To access the exam, the server must log into their RBS Portal. Once they are logged in, they should click the envelope icon to check for messages from ABC. This message will indicate that the exam is available. The “Take Exam” button on their RBS Server dashboard will become active once training is confirmed.

Steps to Resolve the Issue

• Verify training completion in the RBS Portal.
• Check the email associated with the account and the message box in RBS Portal.
• Contact training provider if issues persist longer than the 24 hour wait period.
