What is In-Person Training?
Exploring In-Person RBS Training: What You Need to Know
As California’s Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training becomes a critical component for all alcohol servers and managers, you have a choice between different training formats. While online training offers flexibility and convenience, in-person training provides a more traditional, structured, and interactive learning experience. An in-person training can also take place virtually on applications like Zoom.
What is In-Person RBS Training?
In-person RBS training is a more traditional format where learning occurs in a classroom setting. This method is led by an authorized training instructor and provides a structured environment for participants.
1. Instructor-Led Sessions
- Direct Interaction: In-person training involves real-time instruction from an authorized instructor. This allows for direct one-on-one interaction, immediate feedback, and the opportunity to ask questions and discuss topics with both the instructor and fellow participants in real time.
- Structured Learning: The course is typically organized into scheduled sessions, which may be held at specific times and dates and at various locations. This structure ensures that all participants cover the same material in a coordinated and uniform manner.
2. Formats of In-Person Training
- On-Site Training: This format involves attending a physical location where the instructor delivers the training. These sessions may be held at training centers, educational institutions, other venues, or possibly at your establishment, depending on the training provider.
- Virtual Classroom: Some in-person training options may be conducted via a virtual application, like Zoom. This setup allows participants to join the training from various locations while still benefiting from live instruction and interaction with the trainer.
